Fairfax County Adult High School

Earn your high school credential through the Fairfax County Adult High School.

A high school credential is more than a piece of paper. It is the key to a better job, better pay, and greater opportunity. That's why Fairfax County Public Schools offers two pathways for adults to earn a high school credential at Fairfax County Adult High School (FCAHS).  The two FCAHS pathways to a credential are:

  1. The High School Equivalency (HSE), which is earned with passing scores on all four subjects of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) exam
  2. The high school diploma

Home Instruction

Any parent may elect to provide home instruction for his or her school-age child in lieu of school attendance. A parent or guardian may provide a notice of intent to provide home instruction with these forms.
