2012-2013 G.O.L.D.E.N. Wellness Award
Fairhill Elementary School has been awarded the G.O.L.D.E.N Wellness Award (Giving Others Lifelong Desire for Exercise and Nutrition) for the 2012-2013 school year. The Golden Wellness Award is the highest award given by the Fairfax County Public School Wellness Task Force. The school worked to promote student health and contribute to the reduction of childhood obesity. In collaboration with the wellness liaison, the physical education department, the school’s Food and Nutrition Services, and the community, Fairhill was able to demonstrate the combined effort in our submission for the award.
