Mrs. Chorny is excited to be working with such talented singers as the Marshall choir director! In addition to working with Marshall students, she is also the choral director at Cooper Middle School in the afternoons. Mrs. Chorny received her Music Education degree from the University of Arizona, with an emphasis in choral music. In addition to singing, conducting, and listening to all types of music, Mrs. Chorny enjoys reading, swimming, and traveling.
Ms. Prosser is thrilled to be the Orchestra Director at George C. Marshall High School. In addition, she will also be the strings teacher at two of the elementary schools in the Marshall pyramid: Lemon Road and Westgate. Ms. Prosser has seven years of experience in FCPS, where her ensembles have consistently earned ratings of "Superior" at the VBODA Orchestra Festival. Ms. Prosser holds a Bachelor of Music Education from James Madison University and a Master's of Music Education from George Mason University. A violinist, she also performs regularly with The Dolce Quartet and the American Festival Pops Orchestra. She also teaches both violin and viola privately at her home in Alexandria. In her free time, Ms. Prosser enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, reading, and relaxing with her cat, "Kitty."
