Job Fairs
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), the largest school system in Virginia, is searching for teachers, counselors, speech pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, and psychologists with a strong academic background and a passion to make a difference in the lives of students for the 2010 - 2011 school year. To meet the growing critical field areas, especially in the teaching fields of special education, math, and sciences, Employment Services will interview candidates at our Elementary Instructional Job Fairs on February 20 (snow date February 27). The secondary job fair was held on January 23.
Instructional candidates interested in becoming a part of a dynamic and diverse community that offers a challenging academic program for all students are encouraged to apply online at www.fcps.edu/DHR. FCPS offers support to new instructional employees through an intensive mentoring program, professional development opportunities, and outstanding health and retirement benefits. Also offered is an exciting Smooth Transitions program, specifically designed for instructional employees new to FCPS, which offers many incentives such as an interest-free transition loan, housing opportunities, apartment, health club, and technology discounts, and more.
The job fair interviews are by invitation only. Candidates interested in being considered for an interview should follow the Job Fair Guidelines found at www.fcps.edu/DHR. Candidates interested in the elementary instructional fair must complete all steps by close of business February 12, 2010.
