Ernesto Cisneros is an educator and the award-winning author of Efrén Divided, which received national acclaim for its “honest depiction of characters” with whom young adults can identify. It is the winner of the prestigious Pura Belpré Medal (2020). His follow-up book, Falling Short, has received two International Latino Book awards.
