Kim Greer
Dr. Kim Greer began her role as Executive Principal in November 2024. With over twenty-five years of leadership experience in Fairfax County Public Schools, Dr. Greer brings an extensive background in education and a proven track record of success to her new role.
Dr. Greer began her career as a middle school English and Social Studies teacher before advancing to leadership roles within FCPS. She has served as assistant principal at Marshall, South Lakes, and Westfield High Schools. In her previous role as principal of Langley High School, she led a diverse community of students and staff, emphasizing academic excellence and student well-being.
Under Dr. Greer’s leadership at Langley, the school has seen significant improvements in areas such as mental wellness, advanced academic offerings, and an increased graduation rate. Her focus on creating a positive, inclusive learning environment has been a cornerstone of her leadership, benefiting both students and staff. She is widely known for her commitment to fostering student success and promoting equity within the school.
Beyond her work at Langley, Dr. Greer has been actively involved in leadership and professional development at the district, state, and national levels. She has presented at various educational conferences and has served as a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Board of Directors since 2020, demonstrating her dedication to advancing the field of education.
Dr. Greer holds a bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and an endorsement in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.
