School Board Student Leadership Development Program: Now Seeking Applications for SY 2024-25

August 27, 2024The School Board is accepting applications for the Student Leadership Development Program, open to any high school freshman, sophomore, or junior in good academic standing. Twelve students will be selected and partner with a School Board Member to observe how FCPS is governed, show students the available opportunities to participate on various advisory committees to the School Board, and even to seek election as the Student Representative to the School Board.

School Board Seeking Applicants for Facilities Planning Advisory Council (July 2024)

July 22, 2024The Fairfax County School Board invites applications from community members interested in serving on the Facilities Planning Advisory Council (FPAC) for a At-Large (Moon) District member, a Franconia District member, a Providence District member, and a Springfield District member. FPAC advises and informs FCPS staff and the School Board in the development of comprehensive, long-term plans for facilities.
