Ray, Jeff, and Cori Lonnett have been part of FCPS since the early 2000s.  Ray and Jeff moved from western Pennsylvania to work together at London Towne Elementary. Ray taught multiple elementary grade levels and Jeff served as the art teacher. This was a unique experience for the brothers to relocate and work together at the same school!

Then, Jeff met Cori, who is originally from central Massachusetts, at Providence Elementary School. They have been married since 2006, and have a son, Cade, who is ready to go to college in the fall.

As years went on, Ray took leadership roles in Great Beginnings while also serving as principal at Great Falls and Hutchison elementary schools. Then, he took on leadership roles, first as an executive principal for Regions 1 and 6, then his current position as the assistant superintendent for Region 3.

After London Towne, Jeff was an art teacher at Providence, Colvin Run, and Mosaic elementary schools. He also joined FCPS central office, working for the Advanced Academic Program office to support the growth of Project Based Learning and Portrait of a Graduate.  You’ll also see a lot of artwork around the county that he’s made to support schools and special programs.

Cori has worked as a counselor at Westbriar, Brookfield, and Bonnie Brae elementary schools.  She’s been a leader at each school and for the counseling office, serving as a pyramid leader in many locations, and leading county-wide workshops.

Ray, Jeff, and Cori value people above anything else and are excited to call FCPS home!  To them, the best thing about being part of this school district has been the opportunity to build new relationships with so many people over the past 20+ years that they also consider to be new members of their family!
