The completed project will provide modern amenities and bring the total building area to approximately 429,000 square feet.

Addition totaling approximately 46,000 SF and including science classrooms. Site and parking improvements are also included.

FCPS engages in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process on a regular cycle, with construction and renovation projects in various stages and impacting a variety of stakeholders.

The capital project is identified to relieve overcrowding in the Dunn Loring/Falls Church/Tysons areas by repurposing the Dunn Loring Administrative Center.

Boundary adjustment approved by School Board to address capacity challenges across all McLean elementary schools, with a particular focus on the needs of Kent Gardens Elementary.
