High School Academics

Preparing our 9th through 12th-grade students for college, careers, and beyond

High School is a time for students to a consider a future path. Will it be one that leads to higher education? Perhaps to a four-year college and a bachelor's degree? A community college and an associates degree?  Or is a student ready to enter the workforce after technical training and internship opportunities?

The FCPS Portrait of a Graduate strategic plan guides the school system to develop programs that allow our students to become global thinkers, communicators and collaborators. From the core curriculum to our Career and Technical Education programs, everything that the schools do is in the hope of sending FCPS graduates out into the world well-equipped for success, no matter what their path or passion.

High school counselors are available provide information, explain options and give support to students and families. Contact information for the schools can be found in the Schools and Centers Directory.
