Inspired by "ah-ha!" Moments
"In the beginning, I did not think about becoming a teacher right away," says Mary Fernandez, kindergarten teacher at Fox Mill Elementary School. "When I was completing my bachelor’s degree, I was looking into joining a non-profit organization to help women and children. I began working at a private school and started to notice that I enjoyed working with children; and the spark for going into education began.
"I decided to go back to school to obtain my Masters in Education with a focus on early childhood because it is amazing to watch my students have those 'ah-ha! moments' and build their skills throughout the year."
