Bettrys Huffman

Bettrys Huffman was appointed as director of the Office of Assessment and Reporting in April 2017. She oversees all aspects of the division’s assessment programs, including developing local policy, supporting implementation, and communicating results. She is also responsible for all aspects of the division's reporting related to state and federal accountability.
Prior to this role, Huffman served as a classroom teacher, curriculum resource teacher, instructional coach, educational specialist, and Title I coordinator, with work at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Huffman earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Westminster College, a master’s degree in elementary education from Missouri State University, and an education specialist’s degree in reading education from the University of Virginia.
