What To Do If You Experience a Life Event

You may experience life events (or qualifying events) during your employment with FCPS requiring you to need to change you benefits. Changes to benefits are time-sensitive and the appropriate paperwork must be completed within specified timeframe of the life event. Marriage Birth/Adoption/Gaining Custody of a Child Dependent Turning 26 Divorce Other Qualifying Events

If you wish to make changes to your benefits but have not experienced a qualifying event, you may request the changes during the annual open enrollment period (typically held in the fall), with an effective date of January 1.

COVID-19 Compensatory Education Plan

Under the plan, compensatory education may be provided to students with disabilities whose learning was impacted during the pandemic. The plan includes students with the regular or special education and related aids/services required by Section 504 plans or individualized education programs.
