High School Staff
Each high school has a certified athletic trainer who ensures the health and safety of student-athletes and a directors of student activities who are in charge of a variety of programs.
Students and parents will need to complete several steps prior to participating in high school sports, including:
Coed Sports - Baseball, Cheerleading, Football, Golf, Riflery*, Wrestling
*Club Sports are not necessarily VHSL sanctioned, but are FCPS sanctioned and are financially self-supporting activities.

Each FCPS high school is a member of the Virginia High School League (VHSL) and is assigned in one of two regions beginning Fall 2021.

FCPS offers middle school cross country in the fall and outdoor track in the spring.
Any current FCPS middle school student, enrolled in at least five courses, who is in good standing at their school, and is eligible to participate in the middle school after school program.

Every Virginia High School League Coach or FCPS club sport coach (crew and rifle) in FCPS must complete these requirements.

The Summer Residential Governor's Schools (SRGS) are month-long residential programs for current year tenth and eleventh grade gifted students in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The goal of each Governor's School is to provide opportunities for intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
