Vaccine Coverage
Receiving Immunizations through Your FCPS Health Plan
As colder weather approaches and we stay indoors more often, it's a good idea to consider getting your seasonal vaccines, such as the flu shot or COVID-19 vaccine. These immunizations play a crucial role in keeping you and your family healthy. Your FCPS medical plan makes receiving your vaccines quick and easy.
- Kaiser Permanente members will want to visit a KP facility to receive a no-cost immunization. Please be sure to bring your photo ID and your KP card.
- Cigna members can receive vaccine coverage, if administered by a certified pharmacist, through your physician, or at participating retail pharmacies, such as Walgreens, Rite Aid, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Giant, and Walmart. Depending on where you go, however, will determine which ID card you need to use - either your Cigna (health) card or your CVS Caremark (prescription) card. View the chart below for more details.

Most immunizations for travel are generally not covered. If you use an out-of-network pharmacy, services may not be covered or may be subject to your plan’s copayment, coinsurance, or deductible requirements.
