The Fairfax County Employees’ Retirement System (FCERS) is a single employer defined benefit pension plan considered part of the County of Fairfax, Virginia’s (“County”) reporting entity and their financial statements are included in the County’s basic financial statements as a pension trust fund.

There are over 6,000 Fairfax County Public School employees who are members of the Fairfax County Employees’ Retirement System (FCERS).

•     Part-time teachers and operational staff
•     Custodial
•     Trades and Maintenance

Please Note: If you are a full-time teacher or full-time administrator for Fairfax County Public Schools you are probably NOT a member of FCERS.
