Meet the Author: James Riley

James Riley is the New York Times bestselling author of the Half Upon a Time series, the Story Thieves series, and the Revenge of Magic series. According to Read and Shine.com, he "fell into writing for children when going through some old school papers. A written remark from a 3rd grade teacher that his parents should 'encourage [him] to write more often, that [he] liked to do it, and it might develop into something,' gave him the push he needed to turn his love of writing into an effort to be a published author." In an interview with Publisher’s Weekly, James Riley said, “I love that something I do could be a springboard for kids’ imaginations.”
During the live webcast, author James Riley talks about his fantasy fiction book series The Story Thieves and Half Upon a Time. Students from Clermont Elementary School (FCPS) provide thoughtful questions via Skype and the author answers students' questions submitted via e-mail.
