Dork Diaries turns 10 this June! Congratulations to the winners of the classroom set of Dork Diaries and the classroom set of The Misadventures of Max Crumbly. Thanks to Simon & Schuster for the generous donation.
A “self-described dork,” Rachel Renée Russell is the author and illustrator of Dork Diaries, a New York Times best-selling book series inspired and coauthored by her daughters, Erin and Nikki. Her newest series, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly, is a Children’s Choice Book Award winner.
Rachel Renée Russell talks about her popular book series, Dork Diaries which she has been writing for ten years. The characters of Dork Diaries are based on the trials and tribulations Russell’s own daughters during their middle school years. This series is written in diary form with doodle drawings by Russell’s daughter, Nikki, who provides the illustrations for all the books. Russell also talks about her other graphic novel series, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly, which is also written in a graphic novel format.
Students from Greenbriar East Elementary School (FCPS) ask the author questions via Skype.
