At 7:00 p.m., the National Anthem was performed by the Spring Hill Elementary School Orchestra, under the direction of Margot Mezvinsky.

Jake Sizemore, FCPS Class of 2022 graduate, gave a special performance of his original song, “I Matter for Me”, in honor of Neurodiversity Affirmation Week

The School Board approved proclamations honoring Music, Theatre, and Arts Appreciation Month, Read Across America and Library Recognition Month, and Neurodiversity Affirmation Week.

The School Board heard from 11 members of the public during Community Participation.

Student Representative Rida Karim was absent from the meeting and submitted a report on Student Representative Matters to the School Board.

The School Board approved the FY 2024 Third Quarter Budget Review, ERFC proposed plan design changes, Monthly Report on Employee Separation, VSBA Business Honor Roll Nominations, additional School Board Advisory Committee Appointments, minutes of the March 7, 2024 meeting, and several contracts.

Superintendent Reid presented a Strategic Plan Update, Academic Matters and Superintendent Matters.

The School Board heard reports from the Comprehensive Planning and Development Committee, the Governance Committee, and the Public Engagement Committee.

Finally, the School Board regular meeting concluded with Board Matters.
