The Fairfax County Athletic Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors, the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, the Park Authority, and the School Board on sports matters.

Transcripts are the school records that document a student’s attendance, classes taken, and grades earned during each school year. Transcripts remain with the school for 5 years after the student leaves FCPS.

The School Board has formed an Audit Committee and established the Office of Auditor General (OAG) to independently determine whether the ongoing processes for FCPS operations and performance are adequately designed and functioning efficiently and effectively.

Temporary academic support is available for students who are unable to attend school due to a principal’s out-of-school suspension for ten or more school days with a referral to the Division Superintendent.
The release of weekly data shows that community transmissions rates have dropped in our region from “high” to “substantial.” This means that middle and high schools are able to join elementary schools in using 3 feet social distancing in classrooms where mask use is universal.

Upon consideration of the findings of an independent, external investigation by legal counsel, the School Board has concluded that the Chesterfield County Police Department failed to notify FCPS of the arrest of the former middle school counselor on November 19, 2020, and the Chesterfield County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office also did not notify FCPS of the former middle school counselor’s conviction on September 7, 2021.
The Advisory Committee for Students with Disabilities (ACSD) is a local advisory committee for special education, appointed by each local school board, shall advise the school board through the division superintendent. This information is for school year 2023-24.
