Description: Plans and implements an Extended School Year program that includes instruction in communication, life, and social skills; works with students in all grade levels that are visually impaired; navigates diverse student needs through a continuum of services to promote curriculum access, participation, and skill maintenance; utilizes best practices in teaching to achieve student’s IEP goals; manages student behavior; follows pre-designed lessons, activities, and maintains appropriate pacing; orders, receives, and distributes supplies; participates in Summer Collaborative Team meetings; collaborates with administrators, central office staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals; serves as a resource on Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) for addressing student communication needs. This position requires flexibility in serving multiple sites on an itinerant schedule.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education and an endorsement in Special Education Vision Impairments PreK-12, with experience in teaching Special Education students. Experience in teaching at various school grade levels, preferred. Knowledge of the instructional practices, techniques, and materials pertaining to the assigned teaching specialty; proficiency in technology; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students, and families; ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and varied skill levels in a collaborative learning environment.

Description: Collaborates with central offices and schools to support an Extended School Year program that includes instruction in communication, life, and social skills; works with students between ages 2 to 5 years with a range of disabilities, focusing on critical life subjects such as academic readiness, fine and gross motor, and self-help skills; utilizes best practices in teaching to achieve student’s IEP goals; works closely with families and/or community teachers to incorporate skill building strategies into daily activities; participates in Summer Collaborative Team meetings; collaborates with administrators, central office staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals. Dates of service throughout the summer are aligned with community or private preschool, day care, Head Start, and/or other children’s programs at various locations.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education and an endorsement in Special Education Early Childhood (birth-5 years), with experience in teaching Special Education students. Experience in teaching at the preschool level, preferred. Knowledge of the instructional practices, techniques, and materials pertaining to the assigned teaching specialty; proficiency in technology; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students, and families; ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and varied skill levels in a collaborative learning environment.

Description: Plans and implements an Extended School Year program; provides active outreach support to parents and/or guardians at the beginning of summer program services to ensure that all questions have been answered and all materials have been received; communicates via phone or email as agreed upon with parents and/or guardians, unless otherwise specified in the IEP; works to support students with a range of disabilities, learning styles, and skill levels, some of which participated in Standard of Learning (SOL), Virginia Essentialized Standards of Learning (VESOL), and/or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) instruction during the prior school year; monitors student progress for learning continuum through data reporting and documents updates from parents and/or guardians consultation sessions; participates in Summer Collaborative Team meetings; maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, regulation, and policy. Dates of service throughout the summer are aligned with IEP class-based direct instruction dates.

Knowledge of the instructional practices, techniques, and materials pertaining to the assigned teaching specialty; proficiency in technology; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students, and families.

Description: Assists administrators in the management of all technology for an Extended School Year program; performs a variety of professional duties required to provide professional technical support for computer systems and instructional applications; collaborates with local School-based Technology Specialist (SBTS) and Technology Support Specialist positions to provide student laptops ; assists with ensuring required access to copiers, LCD projectors and interactive whiteboards, including accessories; provides training, guidance, and support on the functionality of Learning Management Systems (Schoology, Google Classroom and/or Google Share Drives); troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software application issues. This position requires flexibility in serving multiple sites on an itinerant schedule.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education. Experience supporting Special Education staff in a technical specialist role, preferred. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of school-based computer technology and its most effective and efficient utilization to support the functions of end-users; ability to analyze systems and applications challenges and provide resolutions; ability to provide information and training in non-technical terms to users; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
