Homebound/Home-based Teachers

Description: Plans and delivers virtual or in-person instruction in collaboration with Out-of-School Support, which provides teachers for students unable to attend school because of medical (homebound) or disciplinary (home-based) reasons; follows procedures and policies for completing required paperwork for reporting purposes; maintains regular communication with staff, students and families. Critical subject areas include: special education, math, science, and world languages; both school day and/or after school hours are available.

Staff Attorney

Description: Serves as a junior-level attorney for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).; researches and analyzes legal topics relating to K- education, with an emphasis on contracts and procurement; reviews and provides legal clearance for regulations, agreements, materials, and other documents as assigned. This is a remote position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and membership in, or eligibility for, the Virginia Bar, with three (3) years of progressive experience appropriate to the position required. Experience with the Virginia Public Procurement Act, preferred. Knowledge and expertise in local government, public school legal issues, procurement and contract law.

Description: Performs a variety of senior level audit procedures including analyses, appraisals, and evaluations of the school division’s functions and activities, either individually or as part of a team. Serve as lead or supervisory auditor for assigned audits and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, with major course work in accounting or finance. Adult Education ESOL Program Lead Teacher

Bryant Center
Part-Time Hourly, $40.70 per Hour

Description: The Adult and Community Education (ACE) ESOL program is searching for a Lead Teacher to support morning classes. Facilitates delivery of adult ESOL instructional offerings on-site; provides administrative and instructional support and guidance to teachers and students; acts as a liaison to FCPS staff and external stakeholders; maintains compliance with federal, state, and local legislation, FCPS regulations, and grant funding requirements; oversees the collection and reporting of data for mandated reporting; participates in meetings and professional development activities as needed. Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, during four instructional terms throughout the year. Attendance at periodic late afternoon/early evening meetings or training is required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, education, or related field plus experience with current best practices in teaching English to adults. Master’s degree, with experience providing training, mentoring or other professional support in educational contexts, preferred. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, varied tasks under deadlines; excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a service-focused environment; ability to create and maintain a collaborative working environment; proficiency in the use of technology such as Microsoft Office and Google applications.

African Heritage Literacy Program Leader

Knowledge and understanding of current research practices of early childhood and family engagement;  knowledge of school and community programs, organizations, services and resources; familiarity with the needs of children and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; strong organizational skills; proficiency with technology; ability to manage a budget and assess the program’s financial needs; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with families, school staff members, and community members from diverse cultural and socioeconomic groups; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to communicate orally and in writing.
