Learn more about how this exam can be used to fulfill college credits.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) offers students the opportunity to receive college credit by demonstrating their knowledge on a standardized exam. The CLEP program is administered by the College Board and the exams are given at designated test centers. The CLEP exam can only be used to fulfill college credits and cannot be used to fulfill FCPS standard credit requirements or to waive prerequisite course requirements. However, students who take a CLEP exam may be eligible to use that score to earn a verified credit towards high school graduation. For additional information about CLEP scores that are eligible for verified credit, visit: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/testing/substitute_tests/index.shtml
Each college or university sets their own policies for accepting CLEP exam scores for college credit.
