Does your child have all of their required immunizations?
Submit your child’s immunization record through ParentVUE using the Online Verification/Update (OVU) Packet or to your school’s front office.
Visit our General Registration Immunizations webpage to see what documents (called “acceptable proof of immunization”) you will need to submit.
You can request records from one of the following:
Your healthcare provider (you may need to pay a fee).
Through the Virginia Immunization Information System (a free service).
If your child was immunized outside of Virginia, you can get records from those states’ systems.
Important: Once your child receives their immunizations, submit their immunization records to your school’s front office or through ParentVUE using the Online Verification/Update (OVU) Packet.
Contact your healthcare provider or the Fairfax County Health Department to schedule an appointment. You can also visit our Immunization Resources for additional appointment opportunities.
After scheduling your appointment, submit your Immunization Action Plan to the school.
Submit your healthcare provider's written statement of a permanent or temporary medical exemption to your school’s front office.

To register a student in an FCPS school, appropriate immunizations are required by Virginia law.
This registration page offers information about registration opportunities within FCPS for New and Returning families. New and Returning families can use Online Registration for student registration of Kindergarten (00) through 12th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.
Parents can now verify and update their child's emergency information in SIS ParentVUE.
Any parent may elect to provide home instruction for his or her school-age child in lieu of school attendance. A parent or guardian may provide a notice of intent to provide home instruction with these forms.
Proof of residency and a student birth certificate are two of the several documents needed for student registration in an FCPS school.
