FCPS engages in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process on a regular cycle, with construction and renovation projects in various stages and impacting a variety of stakeholders.

The completed project will provide modern amenities and bring the total building area to approximately 429,000 square feet.

The Mosaic Elementary project includes renovations and additions bringing the future building area to approximately 122,000 square footage, consisting of classrooms, gymnasium, administration and cafeteria/kitchen expansion, and site improvements.

Boundary adjustment approved by School Board to address capacity challenges across all McLean elementary schools, with a particular focus on the needs of Kent Gardens Elementary.

Assists with the development of health policy in the school division and evaluates the status of school health, health education, school environment, and health services.
