Virginia General Assembly
The Virginia General Assembly meets once a year to consider and act upon legislation and the state budget in a Regular Session, starting on the second Wednesday in January. In even-numbered years, Sessions are scheduled to last 60 days and include the adoption of the Commonwealth's biennial budget. In odd-numbered years, Sessions are scheduled to last 45 days.
The next Virginia General Assembly Session will convene on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, for a scheduled 45-day Session.
